Overview

HastelloyC-276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-alloy containing tungsten, which has extremely low silicon and carbon content.

Generally considered a universal corrosion resistant alloy.

Hastelloy C-276 has the following features

● Excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media under oxidation and reduction conditions.

● Excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.

Hastelloy C-276 applications

Rhenium has been widely used in chemical and petrochemical fields, such as in components and catalytic systems that come into contact with organic compounds containing chlorides. This material is particularly suitable for use in high temperature, mixed inorganic and organic acids (such as formic acid and acetic acid), and seawater corrosive environments.

Other application areas:

● Pulp and paper industry, such as digestion and bleaching containers

● FGD system washing tower, reheater, wet steam fan, etc.

● Equipment and components operating in an acid gas environment

● Reactor for acetic acid and acid products

● Sulfuric acid condenser

● Methylene diphenyl isocyanate (MDI)

● Production and processing of impure phosphoric acid

Hastelloy C-276 melting temperature range

Melting temperature range: 1325 ～ 1370 ℃

Hastelloy C-276 welding

hastelloyc-276 is suitable for welding with any traditional welding process, such as tungsten electrode inert gas shielded welding, plasma arc welding, manual sub-arc welding, metal extremely inert gas shielded welding, and molten extremely inert gas shielded welding.

Special alloy materials commonly used in the chemical industry:

Stainless steel: 253MA, 316L, 353MA, 654SMO, 904L, etc.

Nickel-based alloys: Alloy 31, Alloy 59, Hastelloy B, Hastelloy C, Hastelloy C-276, etc.
