W.Nr.2.4665

W.Nr.2.4665 overview

The superalloy W.Nr.2.4665 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with cobalt and tungsten added. W.Nr.2.4665 alloy has excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures up to 1200 ° C, and can also be used in neutral and reducing atmospheres. At the same time, W.Nr.2.4665 alloy can resist carbonization and nitriding atmosphere.

Melting temperature range: 1260 1355

W.Nr.2.4665 has the following features

Excellent oxidation resistance up to 1200

Good high temperature strength

Good formability and weldability

Good resistance to stress corrosion cracking

W.Nr.2.4665 application areas

Due to its corrosion resistance in various atmospheres at high temperatures and excellent high-temperature strength, HastelloyX has been widely used in various high-temperature environments.

Typical application areas:

Industrial and aviation turbines (combustion chambers, rectifiers, structural covers)

Industrial furnace parts, support rollers, grids, ribbons and radiant tubes

Spiral tube in petrochemical furnace

High-temperature gas-cooled nuclear reactor

W.Nr.2.4665 welding

W.Nr.2.4665 can be welded by various welding processes, such as tungsten electrode inert gas shielded welding, plasma arc welding, manual sub-arc welding, metal extremely inert gas shielded welding, and molten extremely inert gas shielded welding. Preference is given to pulsed arc welding.

Before welding, the material must be in the solution treatment state to remove oxide scale, oil stains and various mark marks. The width of each side of the weld is about 25mm, and it needs to be polished to a bright metal surface.

With low heat input, the inter-layer temperature does not exceed 100 ° C.

No pre- and post-weld heat treatment required
