GH6159 (GH159) Cobalt-based superalloy overview

GH159 alloy is a new type of high-strength multiphase cobalt-based superalloy developed on the basis of foreign multiphase cobalt-based superalloy (MP alloy). Its main features are: cold deformation is first used to induce the cross-network distribution of sheet-shaped ε phases in the face-centered cubic matrix to prevent the long-distance movement of dislocations from being strengthened, and then the dispersed Ni3X phase is supplemented and strengthened by aging treatment. This alloy has comprehensive properties such as ultra-high strength, good plastic toughness and high stress corrosion resistance, and can still maintain its high strength characteristics at a high temperature of 650 ℃. The alloy can be widely used not only for high-temperature fastening bolts and other parts of aircraft engines, but also for ultra-high strength fasteners for aircraft serving in stress corrosion environments (such as marine atmospheric environments). The main varieties supplied are cold drawn bars.
