Application:
SUS305 stainless steel is a stable austenitic stainless steel developed on the basis of SUS302 stainless steel by increasing the nickel content. Since martensitic transformation does not occur after cold deformation during processing, the possibility of work hardening is small. SUS305 steel can reduce the number of intermediate annealing (softening) and reduce processing costs. Compared with SUS304, SUS305 austenitic stainless steel has lower work hardenability. SUS305 uses: spinning, special drawing, cold heading.

Heat treatment specifications and metallographic structure:
Heat treatment specification: solid solution 1010 ~ 1150 ℃
Metallographic structure: the organization is characterized by austenite type.
SUS305 stainless steel has a high nickel content, so the austenite is relatively stable. Martensite transformation does not occur after cold deformation, and the work hardening tendency is small.
Processing technology performance:
SUS305 stainless steel has excellent cold and hot workability, easy hot forging and rolling, and can be cold worked for various products. It has good welding performance and has the same welding characteristics as SUS302 steel.
When the heat processing temperature is 1150 ~ 11890 ℃, the solution treatment temperature is 11010 ~ 1150 ℃, and it is water-cooled; the stress relief annealing temperature is 300 ~ 400 * (4 ~ 8) H, air-cooled.
Corrosion resistance:
The corrosion resistance of SUS305 stainless steel is basically the same as that of SUS302 stainless steel, but because the carbon content of the steel is higher than that of SUS302 steel, the resistance to intergranular corrosion is slightly worse. In order to improve the resistance to intergranular corrosion, the steel should be subjected to a solution treatment.
