Nimonic93 alloy overview

Nimonic93 is a precipitation-hardened nickel-based alloy containing higher cobalt and chromium, which has higher strength and better structural stability. It is used below 815 ℃ and has good comprehensive properties. Turbine blades for aircraft engines, turbine disks and fasteners for small engines. The alloy has good hot working plasticity, and can be used for plate, bar and forging.

Nimonic93 alloy heat treatment

1050 ~ 1080 ℃, 8h, air cooling + 710 ℃ ± 10 ℃, 16h, air cooling.

Vacuum induction melting plus vacuum arc or electroslag remelting process

 

Nimonic93 alloy process performance and requirements

1. The alloy has good hot working plasticity. In the temperature range of 1050 ~ 1150 ℃, the upset deformation is allowed to be 80% without cracking. The forging and opening temperature is 1130 ~ 1150 ℃ and the final forging temperature is not less than 950 ℃.

2. The average grain size of the alloy is closely related to the degree of deformation of the forging and the final forging temperature.

3. The plates can be connected by argon arc welding, and the weldability in the solid solution state is good. After welding, the stress is eliminated and the aging treatment is performed.

4. The cutting performance of the alloy in the solid solution state is better than the aging state.
