Monle K500 alloy overview:

Due to its low corrosion rate in flowing seawater and its high strength, Monle K500 alloy is suitable for manufacturing centrifugal pump shafts resistant to seawater corrosion. Suitable for stationary and flow-rate seawater.

The annealing state is easy, and the aging state is also possible. Usually large-scale machining in the annealed state, leaving a small amount of machining allowance to the final size after aging heat treatment. Shrinks slightly after aging.

 

Monle K500 alloy welding

Monel 500 NO5500 can be welded by industrially common welding methods, but it must be performed in annealed state, and stress must be eliminated before aging. The aging process should be as fast as possible.
